The owner of Auburn Family Dentistry, general and cosmetic dentist David Painter, has been serving Auburn, Fort Wayne, Hamilton, Hicksville, Kendallville, and Angola residents since 1995. Dr. Painter has attained Fellow status with the Misch Implant Institute, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and the Academy of General Dentistry. In addition, he is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Dental Association, Indiana Dental Association, and the Isaac Knapp District Dental Society. Dr. Painter keeps up with the latest advancements in the dental profession through continuing education.

Dr. David Painter is an active member of the community. Dr. Painter is currently serving as the President of the Auburn City Council. He has held a number of positions with the Auburn Kiwanis Club, including terms as president and lieutenant governor. Dr. Painter also donates dental services to underprivileged children through programs such as Project Grin and Give Kids a Smile Day.

Dr. Painter and his family have lived in Auburn since 1995. He and his wife Julie have been married for over twenty years, and they have two sons, Cowboy Dan and Lil Jo. The family attends Lakewood Park Baptist Church.
